audiometric-hearing-testAn audiometric test is a clinical evaluation of a person’s hearing capability. An audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist generally conducts audiometric tests.

At The Canadian Hearing Institute, our staff is fully trained to deliver the test, evaluate the results, and provide you with a detailed analysis of your specific results. Based on your results, our staff will advise you as to the need of hearing enhancement care or on how often you will need to visit the clinic.

Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC)

A custom made device to fit completely in the ear canal making it almost invisible.

In-the-Canal (ITC)

This instrument fits into the ear canal. It is slightly larger than a CIC hearing aid.

In-the-Ear (ITE)

This hearing instrument is larger than the ITC style and is custom made to fill the outer ear area.

Behind-the-Ear (BTE)

These hearing instruments fit comfortably behind the ear and are attached to a custom ear-mold. Usually designed for more servere hearing losses.
